This is the first post in the new Duclos Cine-Mod Journal. The purpose of this journal is to share our experience and the results of our modifications that we have been performing successfully for over 15 years. We will show our readers the broad strokes as well as some of the finer details of our modifications. To find out more about this process head on over to our Cine-Mod Page.
The first lens we'll be sharing with you all is a relatively new, uncommon 12mm f/2.8 from Chinese lens manufacturer Laowa. It's Zero-D name is a result of it's impressively minimal distortion, even at 12mm. This particular customer requested focus and iris gears as well as an aperture de-clicking. Initially, they also asked for our standard 80mm Front Ring as well, but we advised against this since the lens is so wide, the ring would most certainly vignette on just about any camera. Enjoy!
