Mamiya PL Conversion
Mamiya PL Conversion

The Mamiya Sekor-C lenses have seen a resurgence in the past few years. Their large image circle has made them popular for shooting on formats beyond Full Frame including RED's new 8K Monstro sensor. This particular Mamiya was a tricky one. In order to de-click the aperture we needed to access the iris through the front of the lens instead of the rear. This procedure requires some dis-assembly and a very steady hand. After the de-click procedure we add a high-grade grease to the iris movement to give it that smooth cinematic feel. Then the lens is re-assembled and ready for the next step: focus gear tailoring and installation.

In addition to the Cine-Mod, this lens received another Duclos Lenses exclusive - a fixed PL Mount Conversion. After some delicate flange-depth tuning, the lens was cleaned up and ready to be sent back to it's owner.
