Milvus Cine-Mod PRO

These brand new Milvus ZF.2 lenses received the full Duclos Cine-Mod PRO. The first, and and likely least noticeable part of this modification is the seamless, contoured 95mm front ring. It's a very simple thread-on ring that is user-install-able and blends perfectly with the unique trumpeted barrel of the Milvus primes. The next step is to machine and install the wider focus gear, designed to match diameter and position throughout the entire Milvus line. The aperture de-click for this lens is actually an optional process. The Milvus lenses have a factory de-click feature that is as easy as turning a screw. Even though the aperture is easy to de-click it still has a rough, almost empty feel to the movement. We offer the option to take the lenses to the next step and add a high-grade grease to the iris giving it a confident, cinematic feel.

In addition to the Cine-Mod PRO, this customer also wanted a Canon EF Mount Conversion. This is a common request for Milvus lenses because the factory EF mount (ZE) versions do not have a manual aperture. Instead, it is controlled electronically through the camera. The Nikon F mount (ZF.2) versions do have a manual aperture making them the more popular choice. We install our stainless steel Canon EF mount on the lens and then calibrate it for proper, accurate infinity focus. Once the Cine-Mod and Mount Conversion are completed, the lens goes through a final quality control check and then off to cleaning and packing to get it safely back to the customer.

We're pretty proud of our Cine-Mod®. From day one, ALL components of this modification are designed, manufactured, and installed right here in Chatsworth, California.
